some sharks can live in both salt & fresh water ;; but you have to have the same amount of chromosomes to mate with somethunq & actually have baiies turn outt ;; like humans have 23 pairs - 46 & doqs have like 11 or somethinq if someone had sex with a doq they wouldn`t qet preqnant because they don`t have the same number of chromosomes ;; i`m quessin this would be the same for sharks & other fish.

The sharks DNA might not be compatible with the other fish, thus, there'd be no piranha/sharks. Besides, Sharks are usually salt water fish. They'd probably get killed before any possible mating could happen. If they did survive, they'd probably eat all the fish anyway.

Most sharks will not survive in freshwater for any amount of time. I would not think it could mate with a freshwater fish. More along the lines of being impossible.

relies upon on what sort of fish. Salmon stay in the sea yet spawn in freshwater. Their hatchlings commence existence in clean water then swim decrease back to the sea. i'm no longer positive what organ enables them to do this (maximum in all probability the kidneys) yet quite a few species of saltwater fish can attempt this. i have not heard of a freshwater fish that spawns in saltwater yet there are also fish that stay in estuaries the position salt and clean water blend. in case you've been to take a freshy and throw him in salt or vice versa they could likely die from kidney failure interior 10 minutes.

It wouldn't breed with species of freshwater fish any more than it would breed with a different species of saltwater fish. Cats breed with cats, dogs with dogs, sharks with sharks, etc.

Sharks can't mate with other fish any more than lions and antelopes can mate and produce offspring.

well first of all. i dont think sharks and our fish could mate. Because of the fact that sharks eat fish so i doubt it would last but if they could that would be one ugly creppy fish.lol.
