LOL....sounds like you have quite the characters there!
I have 4 myself, and they each have their own little quirks.
Holly won't sleep ANYWHERE except in front of the refridgerator. Haven't quite figured that one out yet.
Miles will tunnel under anything he can fit under and will only play with USED ponytail holders. I actually went and bought him a pack of his own because he kept taking mine, but no way, will only play with the ones I've worn.
McGhee will only play with teeny tiny things. Nothing over the size of a dime.
and Moe, my little Moe. He's the craziest of them all. Weirdest habit he has is to take and hide koozies. We have lost so many we lost count, and now have to hide them. If we leave one out for even 5 minutes, it's gone. I bet when we move, we'll find his stash, but for now I can't figure out for the life of me where he keeps them all!

How old are your cats? If they are still kittens, it could be just playful behavior. Tuna cans will always attract cats as do the plastic ring that comes off the gallon of milk. Some cats just like pasta. Unless they are causing some kind of trouble, the best you can do is get a covered trash can to keep them out of things. Your cats are not so strange. Cats will be cats.

At least 2/3rds of the cats I've owned (about 12 now) have liked to chew on things that make noise - IE, Plastic bags, dried leaves, dried pasta, etc. One of the cats I have now loves straws -she will jump on a table and steal the straw right out of your drink if you let her.

So I would say that you're seeing "normal" cat behaviours.

The only thing that I can relate my cat to yours is chewing of the plastic around the house; I used to buy pricey teeth-cleaning toys and treats, but my cat always goes back to chewing any plastic, particularly the corners of boxes, bags, books, Kleenex boxes, plastic maxi-pad bags...you name it.
Anyways, all cats have their unique traits and personalities as well as quirks. So, enjoy their curious tastes. LOL.

Hehe, they really can have some unusual habits.
My cat, Persephone, likes to try to lick photographs.
My guess is it's because of the alluring chemical smell,
but I hide them in plastic, so she can't get to them.
She licks crackers; her favorite being cheese nips.
She also likes to sample odd foods, like oatmeal, or doughnuts.
She "hunts" the plastic rings from milk jugs.
She growls if someone unexpected comes to the door.
She plays hide and go seek!

Almost every cat I've ever had has had a weird fetish. My current cat likes to chew on anything that's padded with foam, like padded hangers, padded bras, etc. I've had some that were insane over melon, one that liked to chew brushes, one that liked to lick photographs and one that would rub herself all over clothes that had been worn. They're weird little individuals, but it's just normal for cats.

it's not weird. they're animals! biting is because their mouths are itchy. if plastic or rubberband is the first thing they chewed, maybe they enjoy it and it's "their" property so they continuosly chew it. one that plays with empty can might want more food or just enjoys a cat food can! the one that eats pasta, i've heard of, but you fed it and i guess it just likes it! my teacher made his cat become vegetarian, it's weird but absolutely okay.

don't worry about it.

All cats do strange things. I have 3. One licks paper, magazines and printed paper. I have another who begs for Vaseline (the vet said not to worry--all it does is help him deal with hairballs). And our other little guy does this "cover-up action" on the floor beside his food bowl. And both of the males intimidate the female to the point where she is afraid to use the litter box.

All cats have their own personalities. They each have their own quirk that makes them special. All 5 of mine are very distictive in their traits. From milk jug rings to playing in the litter box, to climbing the towel rack to the top, following me to the bathroom then howling because they can't get in, to dragging my rug around the kitchen floor. That is why we pick cats because they will keep us entertained and on our toes
