besides d great barrier reef in australia, what else should i check out??

erm, depends how much time and money you have. Oz is huge and if youre starting up north in queensland youve got a huge distance to cover to go anywhere else (like 3 days to new south wales border or a 6-7 day drive to the west coast)
but sydney is apparently the go in New south wales (i think its crap), Melbourne for food and fashion in Victoria, The big red rock in the Northern Territory, city of churches in Adelaide, The convict prison in Tassy, the city of perth in West Oz and the out back.
but while in Queensland check out Townsville, arlie beach, shute harbour, the whitsunday passage, Noosa, the glass house mountains, brissy and the gold coast - theme parks include croc hunters zoo, movie world, seaworld, dream world and wet and wild....oh and the reverse bungi jump on the gold coast is fun too.

Try the other side of Australia, the west coast. The Ningaloo reef is smaller but it is amazing and you can reach it right from the beach. Great divingtrips from Exmouth.

If you are going to be in that vicinity, you should also go to Port Douglas and check out some of the rain forests around there.

A short flight south will take you to the Gold Coast, where you can go to the theme parks, if that tickles your fancy.

The best holidays sort of just happen. Jump in the car and go for a drive. See where you end up.
