If you are a Christian you are subject to Bush bashing, even if you did not vote for him! Not all Christians think or vote the same thing. Yet, it seems so many think it's ok to lump us all together... It's not.

I am a very liberal Christian and I have never tried to push my beliefs on others. I have NEVER told ANYBODY that they are going to hell. I just try to live by the Golden Rule and words of Jesus. I leave the judging to God. Again, don't assume Christians are all the same! It's ignorant.

Yep, another WIDE generalization from the other side. I wish these people would do some research, it just makes them look ignorant.

I also am a liberal Christian and I did NOT vote for Bush!!! I really despise the fact that a lot of conservative Christians seem to think Democrats are evil. In my opinion Jesus was also a liberal. But then again, my pastor at church says that anyone who is conservative will think Jesus was also, and anyone who is liberal will think Jesus was a liberal. Who knows? But don't just assume all Democrats have no morals. We have a lot - defending and helping the poor, helping children be born into this world that are wanted and loved, etc.

Didn't vote for Bush. Wouldn't EVER vote for Bush. I never get lumped together, but then I'm black and I guess people assume I didn't like him to begin with (and they are right).

I do know that I received a lot of bashing for NOT voting for Bush. I had fellow Christians tell me I was going to hell for that.

Generalizations rarely benefit anyone and are often false. Just explain to people that you disagree with Bush's policies and move on.

In all honesty it never occurred to me that the Christian majority would vote for Bush (although i can see why people would think that). It all comes to down to stereotyping people. Some people believe all Christians do something (like vote for bush) equally people think all atheists hate religious types. I'm a firm believer that religion doesnt change who you are, it just gives you guide lines.

I believe that the Bush campaign insinuated that those who did not vote for him were un-American and un-Christiian. That led to the assumption that those voting for him were Christians and and pro-America. Hence, everyone else was labeled the opposite. It caused some strong fear-based beliefs in this country, leading to bashing from different sides.

Because its all the hillbilies from states that are in the south and like interior, they vote what they know regardless of there platforms, where as people who are imigrants or know about other places in the world voted for kerry because they know what its like in other places. Im not saying all these epople did this but it jsut makes more sense because when you look at the map of the states where it shows who was voted in it seems that the costal states were blue and the interior looked pretty red. just my opinion. **** Bush

Because so many Christians profess to believe in the agenda of the "Religious Right": anti-choice, anti-agy rights, pro school prayer, and against seperation of church and state.
Try forgetting these throwbacks and vote democrat in the next election.

Republicans are the self proclaimed "Party of God"

No charity and lots of killing, weather it be the death penalty (which I like BTW) or foreign wars, but they stand against homosexuals, and we all know that is the main Christian value.

Not all Christians vote Republican, but most of the people that vote republican are christian. If ALL Christians voted bush it would have been a landslide.

It has become very apparent over the eons - that blind faith is the destruction of man.

Since most of the people you are discussing have a tendency to believe anything they are told without question - They would of course be dupped by a religous leader like "King George"

Christians do a great job of lumping everyone else together; Christians are going to Heaven and everyone else in the world will burn eternally in a lake of fire.

Treat others as you would like to be treated?

Whether or not you tell someone they are going to Hell, it is still a part of your belief system. Jesus is the only way to Heaven, regardless of your acts on Earth.
