Using a deep conditioner once a week will help. Stay away from conditioners with protein as protein can harden overprocessed hair and cause it to break. The products you can buy for black hair care in the drugstore all have a pertrolium or mineral oil base that only coats the hair shaft w/out penetrating it. I recomend going to a beauty supply or salon that caters to black folks and getting a moisturizing shampoo and a deep/intense conditioner. Some good product lines are Carol's Daughter (available online), Mizani and Elasta QP. Good Luck!!

you're gonna hate this hun yet there is not any longer lots in any respect which will restore over processed hair different than for a sturdy cut back. i might use conditioning remedies in a warm towel for a non everlasting restoration, yet any treatment claiming to repair broken hair regularly coats the hair in silicone to make it look smoother. regrettably this weighs the hair down ultimately and it particularly is a residue it somewhat is amazingly very difficult to do away with, so your hair will look somewhat boring and particularly greasy after making use of product for too long. basically try a sequence of trims until the wear and tear has been bumped off. you would be shocked how lots of a distinction a trim could make to the visual attraction!

Deep conditionioning treatments will help, or V05 Hot Oil treatment. A haircut will also probably help, to restore the ends of the hair.

Maybe she needs to try going without products for a while, cut it if she feels she can, and use lots of oil treatments to help resotre suppleness.

The best thing for your mom's hair is time. Try to lay off syling it. Whatever you do, do not relax or braid it. Relaxing can totally fry her hair and braiding it will cause breakage.

unfortunatley, if it's really bad she has to cut some of it. Try some protein treatments with alot of moisture.
