I would Imagine so, becuase when you bite a carrot with your canines (meat cutting teeth, that dominate a dogs mouth) the carrot breaks into tiny little angles and with more chewing probably removes some plaque......but it probably wont help if your dog has eaten garbage =D

I have never heard of this, but my dogs get carrots, they dig them up out of the garden without parental consent, and their breath still stinks. I brush their teeth twice a day, and they still have bad breath. Good luck.

Don't know about the breath, but they love baby carrots as treats!

No, but I can tell you something that does! Go to walmart and get the yellow bag of SAMS treats. OHMYGOSH, they are 100% better than milk bones or any other treats we have tried!

not sure if it'll work with dogs, but a friend of mine proved it. he went out for a smoke and ate a carrot immediately after. if i hadn't seen him i could have said he had not been smoking.

actually, yes. the fibrous quality of the veggie can strip off the plaque from spot's choppers and gums, and his bref will smell much more kissable. but then again, a beet or turnip will do the same thing. you can also just brush his teefies with a toothbrush. (no toothepaste, they hate it).
