Flirt back or ask him with subtlety! I had the same experience a couple of years ago... I never asked him. Later I found out from his mother who works at the same place as me that he actually likes me - but he had already moved to a far away state... and I still regret it until now...

Your best bet? Ask him. Be brave, what's the worst that can happen? You'll know whether he likes you or not. He may just be having a hard time working up the nerve to make the first move.

He isn't interested, unless he's just too much of puss to hint anything. Guys are afraid to mess up when they too far in the friend zone. I would say engage and see what happens.

i'm not so sure you should ask him about it. maybe you could just imitate him. flirts and then ignore him and see his reaction on that. but be subtle about it.
