The best salesman in the world is an evangelist. I had the pleasure of attending college with Franklin Graham, who is the son of evangelist Billy Graham and currently heads up Billy Graham Ministries. This is the only group of evangelists, in my opinion, who are sincere in their desire to help people. They go to great lengths to help people continue their faith after their initial "saving experience" and will not hold one of their rallies without the support of many churches in the area representing many different faiths. Yes, there are many "con men" who claim to be religious, but if you quiet your mind through meditation and prayer, you will be able to listen to the guiding spirit so that you do not fall into one of their traps. There are still some good people in the world, don't pidgeonhole them all into one category.

Look it up their all Millionaires many times over.
Consumers rule
As long as you believe that the money you donate goes to help people they will have you send them money and laugh at you all the way to the bank.
One told little old ladies if your eating meat you have enough money to donate. Later; A picture showed him having a 4,000 birthday party for one of his children with a roasted pig.

Complex question. Has to do with human gullibility for one, and the ides of power and sheer greed and exploitation. The US Republicans are masters at this, it's no wonder why the Neo-cons and far right are draw into this vortex of evil.

It is greed for money and power and I simply can not believe people support such a religious sec that prays and demands financial burden off their backs to gain wealth for the benefit of a few, they preach nothing but fear and damnation on one hand and plead for your money on the other, I see it as hypocrisy at it's lowest form.

Welcome to the completely amoral world of television. A lot of what you see on TV is a con. There is only so much regulation on advertising here, and not much at all on the TV shows.
