Make it as late the night before as you can. refrigerate. If you are toting it, make sure you have it CHILLED!
Please don't keep sushi longer than 24 hours.
the bacteria that is flash frozen is a treatment that only works for the existing bacteria, there is no preservative so the less exposure , the better.

It's recommended by sushi chefs that you eat sushi no more than four hours after it has been prepared. After that, it starts to lose some of its flavour. Morseo, the ingredients added to it (in particular, the seafood) don't stay fresh long. You can keep it fully made for two days if you keep it on ice in the coldest part of your fridge.
Since it has vinegar in it, the sushi rice on its own will keep for several days but it will lose a lot of flavour.
(Keep in mind that the word "sushi" refers to the rice and not the other ingredients. Raw fish is called sashimi.)

I would not eat sushi that is more than 1 or 2 days old. And actually, after a couple of hours, the sushi will start to smell a little weird. Eat it the same day you get it.

Always remember, Sushi needs to be fresh. And if you store them in a refrigerator, I'd say about 2-3 days. But it probably taste different.

I took a course in it and make my own.
The rice will be a rock the next day. Forget it. If you want the best for the sashimi' don't slice it until you're ready to eat it. This will limit the amount of surface area for bacteria to form on. Keep the fish between 33 and 40F as bactieria propagates between 40 and 140F.

Sushi is good when its fresh. You can eat it a day later, but it does not taste nearly as good as when it was fresh, and the rice will harden. I would only recommend eating fresh Sushi.

NOT VERY LONG AT ALL. probably only for about 2 days...max.
after that it tends to dry out while being refrigerated, and doesn't keep well. i can't imagine that it would be good after about 24-36 hrs.

Just put it in the fridge.
I wouldn't eat it after 2 days. you should put the rest in the freezer and when your ready to eat it let it defrost by itself. for about 30-45min then eat.
