Me and my BF have been together for almost 2 years. He has had durg and alcohol abuse problems in the past and is now clean but he does drink on the weekends still (which i hate but have learned to deal with) we were engaged in dec of 05 and he kicked me out in jan 06. We moved back in together in march of 06 and ever since then we have been so unhappy! we fight constintly and he always has his friends over. he has one friend that i hate he fules every fight we are in and tries to make it bigger so we break up i hate him and my BF loves him we fight about him ALOT. our sex life is amazing we have never had a problem connecting to each other or in bed or loving eachother. He has a really bad temper and he says things that really cut me deep (today he compaired me to his dog ) just really mean things. We have had the normal problems in our relationship and we have some minor trust issues too(the drugs and lying) i feel like im lossing him. its not love we love eachother and want to fixit

Since it seems like he disrespects you you should teach him a lesson by leaving and if he really cares he will fix his issues and come back but dont give up on love

Wow. You so need to leave him and move on. You need to figure out what is going on in your head to make you actually be trying to save a relationship with this guy. There are so many problems here...no wonder you say you're so unhappy. If he is like this now, he will only get worse with age. Get out before it's even harder to leave. You don't love him like you think you do...you're addicted to the drama. You can't save him (but you can save yourself). Good luck.

listen i think that you need to get out, that relationship sounds very unstable and like it could change at any moment. why would you want to be unhappy trying to fix something that has already been damaged... the drugs and stuff have made him a different person no matter how long he has been clean ,,,,, you should be at the top of his list and thats not the way that it seems, is that how you want to live ,,,,, you need to have happiness and you should not be denied that move on and be a strong women who can achieve things without a man...

That's tough. Have you thought about couples counciling or AA? You should go to both together. It doesn't sound like the two of you are in a place where you should be married. I would help him get over his addictions before trying to be his wife.

If he loves you, he would make some sacrifices for you. It is not fair for you to give in all the time. Comparing a person to a dog is nothing close to even mention love. I believe that he is taking you for granted or maybe he wished that the relationship with you is purely about sex.

Iam not sure but it sounds like you boyfriend has mood swings, seems like he probably still on drugs, but hiding it from you. I would run as fast as you can, even though you love him, he loves his friends & drugs and alcohol more then you, sorry, but thats the truth. Are you willing to settle for third in his life? if the answer is yes then stay with him and deal with it .. If not, pick up your self esteem off the floor, and grab your stuff and get the HELL out of there as fast as you can..

HE HAS A PROBLEM AND YOU CAN'T FIX HIM OR CHANGE HIM.
YOU ARE IN THE WAY. YOUR PRESENCE ENABLES HIM TO AVOID DEALING WITH HIM PROBLEMS. YOU SHOULD GET OUT OF HIS WAY. WAITING FOR HIM TO CHANGE WILL SUCK THE LIFE OUT OF YOU.
YOU ARE NOT DEALING WITH HIM ANYMORE. YOU ARE DEALING WITH THE DRUGS HE IS ON. THEY HAVE A HOLD ON HIM SO STRONG THAT HE IS DELIBERATELY TRYING TO HURT YOU. DUH.

Uh, ok... It does NOT sound like love to me! He compared you to his DOG?!?! This guy sounds like a real loser and I doubt he deserves your love and trust. Dump him, he has way too many issues for you to have to deal with right now!
