Skip the organized tours. If you don't have a car, rent one and drive. There are a million great wineries, with their own tour guides. By going it alone, you get to pick and choose which ones you want to go to, and go at your own pace. I strongly suggest staying only briefly in the actual town of Napa and the wineries nearby, because they can be very crowded and touristy. Instead, go east to the Silverado trail and head north on it, into the Stags Leap area. There are as many wineries along that route (Stags Leap, Pine Ridge, Silverado, Clos Du Val, Chimney Rock, Darioush, WIlliam Hill, and on and on) as you could hope for, with better quality, fewer crowds and beautiful scenery.
