Dude! Stop Yelling!
Col 4:6 Your speech should always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer each person.

The bible tells us what love is:
1 Cor. 13:
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
It also tells us God IS Love.
Tolerance is a message taught to us by Jesus. He stood up for what he believed, and taught us to be tolerant, not angry, when questioned and condemened. Its a balance of the two, that makes it work.

love doesn't mean to tolerate. well meaning parents know that they would tell their children what is right and wrong but it doesn't mean it will be enough for the children to know the Truth and abide with it. Children are their own being, they make their own choices and parents cannot impose their belief in them. If you have children, you can beat them up with your truth but it doesn't mean that when they are out of your sight they are still doing the things that you are imposing on them. You were a child before, you know what I mean

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 says: 'Love is long-suffering and kind. Love is not Jealous, it does not brag, does not get puffed up, does not behave indecently, does not look for its own interests, does not become provoked. It does not keep account of the injury. It does not rejoice over unrightousness but rejoices with the truth. It bears all thing, believes all things, hopes all thing, endures all things.'
Proverbs 23:13+14 says: 'Do not hold back discipline from the mere boy. In case you beat him with the rod, he will not die. With the rod you yourself should beat him, that you may deliver his very soul from Shoel itself' (This verse does not mean that you should literally beat your child but rather should not hold back from discipline be it a smack or be sent to their room or removal of pocket money (whatever works for the individual child).
If you loved your child you would not let them get away without discipline as this is not training them for the life ahead of them and it would not give them a view of what is right and wrong. Therefore, Christians, out of love for their child/ren should discipline them after all God disciplines us as his children - Hebrews 12:6 'For whom Jehovah loves he disciplines; in fact, he scourges every one whom he receives as a son.'

It's a good thing I don't believe in that crap, so I can truly love everyone and let them do what makes them happy. I care about the lives of people here on earth, right now, because no one knows if there is an afterlife or not. So if people can't be happy while they're here, when can they be? Please, get your nose out of other people's lives.

some would think so.
Some do not.
It is not my responsibility to convert anyone.
If a person says are you a Christian, I say yes.
I believe in Jesus.
If they continue to pursue the question with why?
I say that I was called.
If they say, you were called?
I say yes.
You ask the questions I give the answers.
You get to the point of being belligerent, I walk away. OLAY!

Your combative attitude alienates potential converts. You are a hindrance to anyone wanting to be a Christian. You drive souls away from your God. Are you proud of that? Don't you feel self-righteous? Smug? You are an idiot.

You don't have to love everyone. But you should be tolerant of others religious preferences and sexual orientations. Helen Keller said, and I quote, "One of the benefits of education is tolerance." I couldn't agree more.

so what exactly is your question ? :P you answered it yourself. And yes one SHOULD tell how he feels about his family members but not push it overboard. If they don't wanna hear it FINE, MOVE ON. You can't MAKE them believe in God.
A soul convinced against their will is of the same opinion still !

Why don't you try following Christ's directions....that would speak louder than your hateful words that you call love....Look in the mirror; you're supposed to see God's reflection.
