No, I believe he is a being within our own consciousness.

If there is such a thing, I do not believe it is a being with consciousness.

In my world of belief, God is everything outside of my direct control. Therefore, God acts through other people, through animals, through plants, through the sun, the wind, lightening strikes and the rain.

So when something happens to me or my property, which has not been directly, or indirectly related to my actions, it is an "act of God".

I have narrowed my definition down to exclude other people and animals, over whom I may have some influence. I therefore think of God as the forces which act against me, or with me throughout my life which are not directly or indirectly within my control.

I have tried explaining this in a previous answer as Entropy, or my ignorance of what God is. Some bright spark suggested that God = Love and I can live with such a definition. Of course in order for such a definition to apply Devil = Hate, otherwise God is evil and good forces.

I am however content with my own definition where God = Entropy and the devil does not exist.

In short, NO.

Of course, otherwise he wouldn't have created other beings with consciousness...we are created in His image. I take this to mean precisely consciousness...like God we have minds and souls, are capable of abstract thought, emotion, understanding and wisdom.

If you're talking about God The Father, He can't be a being because the Bible says that He is a Spirit. But if you're talking about Jesus The Son, I suppose so because He came into this world as man, and man has a conscience.

God sent His Son to us in the human form of Himself....it is the only thing He knew of that we would understand....He wanted us to have a way to hug Him and touch Him so he made Jesus... God is so huge, we can't even fathom it....He is in everthing...you can feel that and have faith in thta very strongly but can you hug it and touch it....God basically shrunk all of His power into Christ for us to have a new closeness to Him and be able to relate to Him...it's like when your mother has passed and you can't see her but you know her spirit lives on and she is looking down on you...God also made a way for you to see her again alive so you could touch her and hug her....God Bless...
