Please do not use any toxic chemicals or put down pepper or anything that others may tell you. They can seriously harm or even kill a cat. I had a problem with cats using my front bushes the same way. Cats hate the smell of oranges and orange oil. There is a very inexpensive orange oil cleaner on the market that you can spray around and once you do the cats will stay away. You can also just put orange peels around and they will stay away as well. Although the orange peels will start to stink after awhile when they begin to mold.

Try putting a couple of moth balls in the dirt. My Grandma lives out in the county and has a problem with stray cats and thats what she uses to keep them away & it works! They are very cheap, and you can find them at Wal-mart, Kmart, or at the dollar store even. They also work for keeping bugs away. Put a one in each corner of your closets. They are a little smelly at first then the smell goes away. Good luck with the cat poo.

Hi Jenny...citronella scent oil is a cat deterrent that is safely non-toxic as well as effective. You can purchase this at any pet supply store. Moth balls are very dangerous and if the animals are injured (even though they are on your property) the owners can legally request for financial compensation according to US laws. However, depending on your local laws, the owner's of the cat could be also cited for failing to control their animal too as well as have it picked up and held at the shelter (if you notify ASCPA/any animal control agency).

Please don't use moth balls. They are deadly to animals and very harmful to the environment.

The chicken wire is the best way I think. You can also use the soft shade cloth available in a garden or hardware store. It is more flexible and easier to screen off under the porch this way.

First you have to clean it out, they now think it is a litter box. There are chemicals you can buy at the pet stores or try some home remedies. My cats HATE plastic bags, tie these around your porch(looks funny). Two sided tape around the area,it pulls their hair just enough to irritate them. Also, hot pepper juice(they hate the smell).Hope one of these works.

Fill a few empty plastic bottles (clear) with water. Lay them down in the area where the cats go and it will deter them. Works a treat.

Get a 22 rifle with subsonic ammo. Set up and aim and shoot. That will solve the problem. OR, you can get a pellet gun and hit them in the rear, that works great too.

I've had this problem and I DON'T anymore. I leave the cat carcass on the doorstep of my neighbours and they don't let their cats out anymore.

EVERYONE leave your damn devil beasts inside PLEASE

you shouldnt have to go out and buy items to keep the cats out...basically tell you neighbor you dont want the cats on your property, that way you've notified them, and if it continues (i hate to say this because i would be crushed) call aniaml control to have them picked up
