The beliefs of Catholicism were determined by the apostles in the first century. Unlike Protestants who can vote and change their beliefs, Catholics, from the Pope to the bishops to the ordinary members cannot. There never have been women priests because there never have been women apostles. The Twelve were men. There have been many female leaders but no female apostles. It was an action Jesus did not do. As John Paul II pointed out, Jesus was an extreme social radical, had he wished to, being God, there is no logical reason not to. Since he did not, we cannot. What Jesus or the Twelve did not set in motion, we may not.

I'm sorry but there is a mistake. God doesn't mind if there's a woman priest. But Catholicism don't want a woman priest because during mass the priest represents Jesus that was a man. to Women is reserved another work, that of the sister, who can do many things as the priest (for example confessions and give the communion) but not the mass. And saying the truth to women is reserved the hardest work to convert people praying for them. Without our Catholic sisters Church would be destroyed.

A large part of the christian doctrine is based on the subjugation of women. It was an attack on Paganism in which women were worshipped as the givers of life. But the C.Church was and is male dominated Paganism was seen as a threat so women were persecuted for centuries. Based on historical documents it is estimated that the church murdered 5 million women over 300 years as witches. The reason that women are/were treated as second class citizens was/is due to the Christian church.

This did no longer end females from becoming to be Saints or ordained for Sainthood nevertheless.
