Ditto.... I think God is just God but in different forms to different people.

No. All religions do not point to the same truth. Each religion has it's own Truth. There are some that point to a similar Truth, but there are many more religions than are going to be viewed and understood by most who answer this question.
So to answer your question, since I can think of the more common religions that don't point to the same truth, no.

No. not all religions points to the same truth. To make it short and simple, read in John chapter fourteen(14) verse six(6), where Jesus says that he is the Way, Truth and the Life, (KJV). The only common truth they may have is that they all believe that there is a higher supreme being or God.

Sorry, but I think that the truth you're speaking of is inherantly a slam against religion:
That when everything else is stripped away, all religions are about a way to curb fear of the unknown and provide a cohesive community under one way of thinking. And that's it.

Basic truths are the same and the prejudices are the same. If you strip off the superficiality, you don't have a religion anymore.

The only similarities between all religions is that it's adherents believe in a higher power. Unfortunately that higher power doesn't have to be a very nice person, or have a vested interest in us. Only religions which teach love and responsibility to that higher power have a positive effect on people's lives.

I am afraid not. I would like to believe that all of the us are following the truth but we are not. Truth is like a point in the horizon with only one straight line (path) leading to it. If a person deviate from the path he/she won't reach the truth.
If you think about it (asking for guidance from god) then you will reach the truth.
hope to see you there.

There's a lot of superficialities, and very little that any religion agrees on.
Someone might say that they all believe in the same God, which is nice in theory but totally incorrect, as they all have completely different (and mutually exclusive) ideas of just what that God is.

Truth is relative. All religions have the same purpose, which is to arrive at the truth, but what that truth is, will vary from culture to culture.

A purely superficial answer would be "Yes." One might question, however, whether the "Truth" they all share is actually real or merely a side-effect of the common hardwiring of all human brains.

No. Most religions teach that man is good, and can become better and better on his own.
Christianity teaches that man is not good. That he is incapable of rising above himself on his own, and that he needs a savior.
