Wow, you are all over the map with this question.
All female mammals, including people have the capacity to produce more milk than their "babies" need based on the demand put on them. And they can keep on producing long after the "baby" has grown past needing the milk. So, there are no starving calves wandering around on dairy farms, because we are "stealing" their mothers' milk. Frankly, that is just a silly argument.
You have a point about chemicals being added to the feed, but that is a separate issue. However, I'm more concerned about the hormones and antibiotics the cattle get than any carcinogens. I would encourage people to drink organic milk, if at all possible.

Holy crap. You're reading into this WAY TOO MUCH. When the cow is still nursing the calf, the farmers don't extract milk from that cow. When the calf is old enough, the calf is removed from the mother. Basically, the calf is out on its own. That's when they milk the mother cow.
About the "stolen goods" stuff. How far are you going with this? Are you going to become an animal rights activist and start a movement on separating mother from calf.
A cow's milk is a natural source. Not man-made. Drink it. The cow will make more.

"Carcinogenics are added to dairy cows feed, so they will produce more milk" You must be thinking about the PCBs that are in pesticides that make their may to the water. The fact of the matter is, in the San Jaquin valley, (excuse my spelling), in Calif. The farmers for years have sprayed their crops with pesticides which contained PCBs which in turn made its way to the water source by runoffs. What you're thinking about are the hormones that are given to the cows in order to stimulate them into producing milk and continue producing. Not to mention the antibiotics that are given as well, which explains why so many humans today do not respond to antibiotic treatments for diseases. If you have a beef with cows milk, then I suggest you try goats milk. By far it's much better for you.

How dumb are you? The calf is taken when old enough to live on its own and the mother is then milked. They will keep producing milk after the calf is weened, just like humans. If a dairy farmer took the milk before the calf was done the calf would either die or have to fed alternately, which would cost more money. Please try to be less stupid in the future.
