Does this imply there was more than one god involved in the creation of Man?

Or that God asked the heaven and earth and all the animals to join with Him to help create man?

It comes from the Kings English, it's very proper and when translated from it's origional language God refers to himself as he or we because it's what is said about nobility, or a sign of power.
This always confused me too!

Jesus was with The Father, working together, the craftsman at Gods side.
In Eternity God brought forth His Son as the first of God’s works.
He was the craftsman in the creation of things in heaven and
on earth, visible and invisible, thrones or powers or rulers or
authorities. They were created for him and by him.
Proverbs 8: 22-31 Revelation 3:13-15 Colossians 1: 15-19 John 17: 5 John 8: 50-58.

I've read that it was in reference to angels. But, that's not explained until the book of Mark. Notice Genesis doesn't ever explain when the angels were created. Some will say when the Bible says 'the heavens' that means angels. But when does location = the inhabitants? The OT also says nothing about a Trinity and when Abraham & the Pharoah are conversing after the Pharoah learns about Sarah also being Abraham's wife, Pharoah says 'You're God is more powerful than our gods'. With nothing said by either Abraham or God about there only being one.

"Does this imply there was more than one god involved in the creation of Man?"

There is only one God.

"Why does God say let "us" make man in "our" image? Who was with Him?"

First off, this is really not the best place to find an answer for that. Your best bet is to ask a church pastor, minister, priest, or any devout follower.

And, as word of advice, avoid sounding blasphemous in the process.

God was referring to himself and Jesus.... John 1:1- "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God" the Word is another name for Jesus and as we all know Jesus was with God before he created the earth. Man is created in the image of the father God and the son Jesus.

He was speaking to his son Jesus.

Collosians 1:15, 16 says: "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him."

Jesus was God's "master worker". Notice that the verses say Jesus was the "firstborn of all creation". He was CREATED. God is eternal. They are not the same entity. God wasn't talking to himself as a multiple-personality...

The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit!

Do you realize that before Jesus became flesh that He had another name? Here it is...The WORD (you know the one that everyone wants to say is written by man and not by the spirit of God utilizing men to write it?)
In the very first sentence the bible it says:
In the beginning was the WORD...
JOHN 1:1 Says:
"In the Beginning was the Word...and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us..."
Sound familiar?

God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit were all involved in the Creation. One God, three Persons. Beyond our limited human comprehension, but clealry taught in the Word of God.

Romans 11:33-36 - O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!
34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?
35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
