Judeo-Christian tradition has taught for thousands of years:
1. Single people should be celibate.
2. Married people should be faithful to each other (adultery is wrong).
The Catholic Church recognizes the power of sex when it teaches, "Sexuality affects all aspects of the human person in the unity of his body and soul."
Chastity means the successful integration of sexuality within the person. A chaste person's body and spirit lives in unity and opposes any behavior that would impair that unity.
The Catholic Church does not have an official stance which types of sex are allowable when a man and woman are married as long as it is consensual and done in moderation.
The purpose of sex is to bring a husband and wife closer and to create human life.
With love in Christ.

It depends,
Between unmarried people it's a mortal sin.
Between husband and wife is't no sin if it leads to the climax of the man inside the vagina of the wife.
This is so because it is never lawful to separate the two ends of the marital act, the unitive one and the procreative one.
That's why contraception and coitus interruptus are sinful.
To imacatholic2:
If you read you read the catechism you will see that you are partly wrong. Of course there are no "sanctioned" sexual positions but some things are clearly sinful.
I'm sorry to say that even some priests will question this, since they are in dissent against the perpetual teaching of the church of the immorality of contraception.

As long as it is done as a matter of "foreplay" and there is no finish (ejaculation) it is not a sin. That must be done in a way that lends itself to the possibility of reproduction.
(I got this answer from a Catholic radio station that had a relationship expert as a guest. The caller asked the exact same question.)

If by sin you mean delicious, then yes, but if by sin you mean J. C. will strike you to a firey grave, then - I don't know. I'm not sure what are sins, but when I die, AND if anal, oral, drug use, facial shots, rock and roll, alchohol, cursing, jerking off, fighting, urinating on parked cars while drunk, ripping pool table felt (while drunk), sleeping with strippers, or shavin your coin purse are sins, then I guess I'll find out. Good luck, and learn to deep throat - it is a dying art.

I do not believe it is if your married. Marriage is a very sacred and ordained togetherness. Sex is a very private act between two married people who love each other. I believe God gave us sexuality and expects those in love and married to enjoy it and be fruitful. As long as both parties consent and enjoy it, I think anything is OK; as long as it doesn't degrade or make the other person feel bad or wrong. If your married and both into it, I think it is perfectly OK.
If your unmarried...nothing is OK but not doing it. Period.

No. Neither is it a sin if you are Protestant. Nothing you do in the marriage bed is wrong, as long as it's consentual, there's no one else involved, there's no porn, and animals stay in the barnyard!
