Well first there is the engagement ring, which is given to the girl from the guy. Then the wedding bands- are normally picked out together. The groom pays for the bride's band and the bride pays for the groom's band. That's very traditional. Me and My FI we are going together and both paying 50/50 for both bands.

It depends on the couple. Traditionally, the man is supposed to surprise the woman with the engagement ring when he asks her to marry him, but these days, a lot of couples go pick the ring out together after (or sometimes before) he asks. That way, you're sure the girl will get something she likes, especially if the guy has no clue. Most girls have a set idea of what they want.

My guy surprised me with the engagement ring, but I think he picked something that matched my personality, because it's the ring I would have picked, too (though the diamond was bigger than I was expecting it to be)!

The wedding bands, the couple picks together, before the wedding, so they can get a matching set.

Sometimes, when the couple shops for the engagement ring, they'll buy a set that includes the wedding band, so they'll be sure to match and fit together well.

the guys usually have to either buy the ring or they use a ring that has been in the family. Sometimes, after the guy pops the question and the girl says yes, they'll go pick out a ring together. It could be that the girl's mother may give the guy a family heirloom ring to pop the question with but typically the guy buys one.

Generally the man goes shopping for the ring, or maybe it's a family ring passed down through generations. The girl gives the guy a ring at the wedding when he gives her another one.

It's so personal, some guys will pick a ring out for their intended himself, others (like my hubby) will take her shopping and have her pick it out. Find a good, quality, REPUTABLE jeweler to buy rings from. Generally the man is not given an engagement ring, but both husband and wife wear wedding bands. For the wife, the wedding band is worn underneath the engagement ring, so that it's closer to her heart.

When a guy asks a girl to marry him, it is an engagement ring. Unless the girl is asking the guy to marry her, the guy normally doesn't get a ring for it.
When you go to pick out wedding rings, sometimes he does it himself, and sometimes they do it together. (Sometimes the girl is so demanding, she picks them out herself...lol)
As to who they get their rings from. Just depends on what jewler is around. Some get them from Walmart if they don't have a whole lot of money, some go to the most expensive jewler in town. Really just depends.

The man get all of the rings. Usually just a simple gold band. And she will put that on you the day you get married.

When a man asks a woman to marry him, he usually gives her an engagement ring. He may have picked it out himself, or they may have picked it out together. He pays for the engagement ring.

At the wedding, if it's a double ring ceremony then he gives her a wedding band and she gives him a wedding band. He pays for hers, she pays for his. Usually they match, but not always.

If it's a single ring ceremony, that means he won't be wearing a wedding band! Warning bells go off immediately for that one.

The guy chooses the ring, and usually asks the girl and presents it to her. The girl doesn't need to get the guy anything - she is enough for him!

The man can either get a ring from family that has been handed down from generations or he can go to a jewelry store and buy it.
If you are smart you will go to the store with him and pick out a few that you really like. It will be still a surprise and be one that you are happy with.
