I once donated a car to "Father Joe". He is currently advertising on Television for donations. He is receiving cars, boats, planes, etc. Even Motorcycles.

When I donated my car, the full market value was deductible. The year after my donation, the government decided that only the amount that the car is sold for is deductible.

Father Joe was selling the cars for $25.00 each, regardless of condition. I have not donated anything since. Check with an accountant if you know one or have a friend that knows one. Even H & R Block may be able to answer question of "How much can I deduct?" for you.

I noted that he is back again asking for donations on TV, but I do not know if the rules have changed.

If all you can deduct is $25.00, a Junkyard may be the better choice and you can sell it to them

Good Luck.

Check and see if you have a Vocational Rehab unit in your area that might offer classes for handicapped people. Also Goodwill will take it along with the Salvation Army. But check your community colleges first.
