I have a Conair, and it works reasonably. They aren't the "best", but they heat in 60 seconds. ;)
Good luck ~ Elle

Conair straighteners are definitely NOT the best to use. Many people think CHI straighteners are best and that's not true either. They are definitely better than Conair, but they also make your hair very dry in the longrun even if they are ceramic. I believe the best flat iron is the SEDU. It is cermamic/has tourmaline and it is basically the same price as CHI. I own a CHI and a SEDU and I definitely think the SEDU is way better. After having it SO dry from the CHI I thought that this SEDU wasn't going to be much of a help. But I was wrong. In just 1 use it made my hair softer, shinier, silkier, and just plain healthier. I was so shocked. Of course if you flat iron your hair you want to use a special shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair. The cheapest place to buy one is on www.folica.com. It also has fast and free shipping. I got mine 2 days after I ordered it by clicking on US post office. However, for some it takes longer because they live farther away. You also get a 30 day return policy and a 1 year warranty. The SEDU is pricey but worth every single penny.

Chi straighteners are the best. But they're super expensive. So for the money, yeah, Conair is pretty good. The only thing you have to worry about is making sure you get a straightener with even heat distribution so it doesn't fry parts of your hair, which is more common in cheaper straighteners. And use a heat protectant spray and your hair won't dry out as fast.

I don't think so, but it depends on how much you are willing to spend and what look you are trying to achieve. It also helps if you take in consideration your type of hair. I have thick wavy frizzy hair and I had a cheap $25 flat iron and I was never satisfied with how my hair looked after I styled it. It was never completely straight. I did some research and bought the Solia which is the more pricey flat ceramic iron that had better reviews than the chi and I love it. I do my hair in 15-20 minutes and it's straight until i take a shower no frizziness.
Go to www.folica.com and you can research pretty much any hair tool and figure out what you want to buy. So personally I would never buy a conair or a cheap flat iron because down the line
your hair is the one that suffers.

they are good to use...but if u want the best straightner try using a CHI ...or any other one from a beauty supplie store. i have a conair and a chi they both work great. but the chi is more expensive u can find them at Sally Beauty Supplies or your local hairdresser if they carry supplies....and if u use a straightner make sure you use special shampoo for heat damaged hair...it helps alot good luck!!

if you have the money, i would buy a 'chi' its from the same company that sells biosilk. Farouk Systems. i think they are based in houston. but if not, i would definately go with a ceramic one. the little comb like spikes on one side(when you look, you will know what im talking about) is a great feature so you dont have to waste time brushing every strand out each time.

Not at all. CHI & JILBERE ceramic porcelain straighteners are the best.
