straight hair to curls...?

i have long, black, straight hair...and i want to curl them but whenever i do...the curls drop in a half and hour to an hour...unless i put hairspray...is there anything else i can use instead of hairspray so that my curls will stay in..all day

Here's a secret I learned from a hairstylist: To make your curl stay, spray it before you curl it (besides holding better, I think it makes it slightly softer), and blow cool air on it as you let it down.
You could also try hair gel instead, or if you wear your hair curly very often, you could consider getting a perm.

i had this proplem even though naturally i had way hair i wanted really pretty curls. so at night before bed i would put some light hairspray in. not all day hold hairspray but light hair srpray and put in some hot curlers. when all the hot rollers where in i would put more light hair spray in and wrap it in a banada nad sleep on it. The next morning i would wake up and take them out. they look good when you style them all up but normmaly i would take a big curling iron and curl up some setions for volume. thats only if you have time!

wash ur hair proprrly with L'oreal shampoo
apply hot style constructor (techni art L'oreal) IN WET HAIR
dry up ur hair&
atlast use hot tonge curlerls & use hair spray
enjoy ur curly hairs
