You don't have to go pastel if you don't want. If you wanted to do slightly brighter colors, you can do kind of a monotone thing, like a bright pink with other lighter shades of pink. You can use a large variety of flowers with this. The most expensive wedding I've ever seen was actually featured in a centerspread in Grace Ormonde's Bridal magazine. They did this and it looked absolutely elegant. She also used red, but you may want to avoid that in March. I say go with a bright shade of pink and tone it down with lighter shades of pink. It will look fantastic, and a perfect way to bring in spring! Congratulations and good luck!

Yellows are great for that season, just avoid greens.
blues are good too (purples)
It might help to find out what flowers actually bloom in that month. It is a rainy season and still somewhat cold so you'll want some Early Spring flowers/ late winter flowers. Check with a florist or a garden nursery.
From a woman who had a cabaret wedding set in the 1930's came on her husband- to- be's arm..he was dressed as a Mafia style Gangster and I,his squeeze wearing a custom made red silk 1937 vintage vogue gown...my advice is...
In the end it's your wedding and it's what you and your love want. So, no it really doesn't matter but flowers out of season will be far more costly because they will have to be imported/hot-house raised.

Well, in March I'd go with springy pastel colors, nothing to bright or loud, nice soft yellows, greens, pinks, blues, etc. And if I were getting married in March, I'd have all the tulips I could get my hands on. If you want to diy, you can even plant them in the fall (in pots and store in the basement or freezer or other cool, dark place) and then bring them up to the warmth and sunshine about 6 weeks before the wedding, and you'll have all the tulips you could want!

The right color(s) is according to your preference, but daffodils are that month's flowers. They come in many shades of yellow, from pale and creamy to very bright, some with orange-red centers. Yellow and pale or other blue might be a pretty combo. Blessings, Buttercup

Go with spring colors. Pastel works best. Talk to someone who knows about flowers. Tell them your favorite colors and ask for suggestions. In the end it's your dissision.

check with your florist and pick things that are in season to keep your budget down..... then go from there. It's always best to find out what the prices are of flowers before picking anything!
Good Luck
