Is it possible that some Christians just accept and believe what others tell them, whereas others actually search the Bible for answers, and thus can truly say that they trust what they believe and can give evidence of it? Is it possible that some religions really do cause more problems than they help, but others do really help the ones that adhere to them? Do you think that some people look negatively on a form of religion (let's say Christianity) because of how many of those who profess to be Christians do not live up to what they claim to be? Does that mean that those who do strive to set an example should be lumped in with all of the rest?

Yes, just like there are differences in all people. I personally think Christians get a bad rap because non Christians only focus on the negatives that happen. Of course if a Pastor is responsible for molesting a child that's going to hit the news and be a big topic (as it should ) But the fact is, Thousands upon thousands of non Christians are committing the same act daily.Is this considered?
We are all human and all have sinned ....none of us are perfect and all struggle with sin. So Again yes there is a difference between Christians, some Christians may believe in God and that's it, others may believe in God but not live their life for Him, while others believe and try to live their live in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. But this is no different then any thing else, some of us give a little, some a little more and some
whole heartily give.

Yes there is a difference between what people(in this case Christians) say/do and what the Bible says; for sake of this discussion, let me call it growth. Perhaps that is one reason why what the Bible says; and what so&so does (that claims to be a Christian) differ. It would help also to understand why some people do not study the scriptures as other people might.
The concept of lumping is one that one has to be careful of;
because it can lead to placing all in a category that may not apply to but a few.

The main reason I look negatively at Christianity is not the actions of only a minority of its followers. Most are good people.

But the religion itself revolves around the central mandate of: "Make the world Christian." There is nothing about live and let live, respect other's beliefs, don't provide unsolicited judgment on someone's worldview. They're told to spread the gospel into every nation, baptize as many as they can... because only then can Jesus come back for them.

This can be taken many ways, but the prevailing one taken by Christian leaders is that "you need to do everythin you can to make as many people as possible believe the way we do."

I used to be an Episcopalian and believe me they would compete with the surrounding churches to try to get more and more people in their congregation. I would sit and listen to the sermon and then when leaving the church watch the same people giving the finger to other people who cut them off while they drive out of the driveway, look down their noses at the homeless who came in for the soup kitchen, etc.. Yes, I have seen it and lived it. But I think in any religion, any spiritual belief, it's the same way because people are human beings and not perfect--and never will be!!
Also, they would think they were better than other denominations because of this or that. It could get very childish.

There is no way to separate Christians....If you call yourself a Christian, then you are part of the spiritual body that is currently working on building the big "structure" that everyone before you started building.....People believe it is the true church of God....Personally, I think it is the tower of Babel and it will fall.

Look at Revelations 18:4...Come out of her my people...that occurs right before "Babylon the Great City of Harlots" falls....Ask God to show you if that is the current Christian Church...

There is a grand difference. They shouldn't be lump together but God will have the final word towards disunity among Christians and other religions.
