if the account was sold to a third party which sold it to an attorney's office what can they do?

You have received good answers already. I will change your question to give you an answer with a different perspective. If you meant to say you have too much debt (unlike the assumption made by the other persons responding) and not enough income, the best solution to the problem is to negotiate with the creditors to reduce the debt, or freeze the interest accumulation, in exchange of regular nominal payments (maybe taken directly from your checking account). By showing good faith, the creditors may show some mercy on you. Good luck.

work something out and pay your debt's if you have high income to debt why dont you just do the right thing and pay them what you owe, and if an attorney office wants to take it far enough and they find out you do have thing or money there is alot they can do to get it!
