I have met many guys online that list their income at a much higher amount than they obviously make. I met a guy who said he was an engineer and made 100K but had no college education and lives in an old rental house. Another one who supposedly makes 75K but won't even buy dinner. Why don't guys just leave that part of the profile blank so it won't be an issue? I know they do it because they want to attract a woman but that is the same reason overweight women (I am slim myself and weigh less than 100 lbs) say they are average or height weight proportionate. It seems men think it is ok to disappoint a woman by lying about their income but get angry when women disappoint them by lying about their weight. I know guys will say that a woman shouldn't be concerned about how much he makes, ok, then why should a guy be concerned about how much a woman weighs? Personality is the most important thing right?

I agree with you Tones, that a person with money doesn't reveal it as it isn't safe. It is kinda like a well endowed guy in a way (not to be offensive, just from personal experience) the guys that I have met that were well endowed, didn't boast about it or advertise it. If you have it, you don't have to boast. I know it's a bad comarison but fits into the brag thing.

Maybe it's just sort of a personal security. Like a lot of women get embarassed by telling their weight because maybe they think it's too heavy. And men are embarassed to tell their income because maybe they think it's too low. I know I'd have a hard time telling my income for that very same reason. And yes personality is the most important thing.

I don't agree with you that personality is the most important thing. I think the most important thing is chemistry.

I do agree that if a guy lies about his income, that he is rather pathetic. I don't discuss how much I make. A tip to all women: if you want to meet a guy who is honest about how much he makes, you can pretty much assume that any guy who volunteers how much he makes is a liar.

Anyone who really makes that much money would not reveal how much they make because if you make that much money, you are more protective of your assets and would only reveal that kind of information to a person you trust.

Personally, males or females, anyone who lies about themselves are below my standards.

Umm, did you see their pay checks? It's called living beneath your means. If you buy the Honda instead of the Benz, you save $40,000 for retirement, or a vacation, or whatever. My father doesn't have a college degree and he makes a strong 6 figure income.

And last time I checked, most guys don't care about exact weight amount, just if you're fat or not.

I truly agree. No one should be asked asked personal questions... I think you should talk to the person first and get to know them for them. I mean physically I'm attracted to a certain type, but if i like your personality then that's even better then looks or money.

because -believe it or not-- most women only believe in what the guy makes -what they can buy them- it's to impress the girl sooo they will be interested-- go figure,, speaking of figure- girls lie because it's a vane thing- soo it's more appealing to the guys
