Well for the rest of the world and false religions they can do what they want to. But the true followers of God and his word the Bible it is says we should not be unequally joined with those of different faith.

It sounds like the person you should be asking is your girlfriend. Of course I don't get it, how can she be all fevered about her religion and still be shaking up with you (did I read that wrong?).
Not all Christians go around telling everybody their going to hell, (I personally think that's pretty rude). But she's probably particularly concerned about you because she loves you, and is considering having a family with you. If you're serious about this girl, then you the two of you need to be able to talk about religion in a civilized manner, I mean you'll have to decide what role religion will take in your marriage, your children, etc.
It sounds like that's a discussion that's long over due.

Were you tolerant to her way of thinking?? Tolerance is a two way street. Personally, I don't care what religion a person is or isn't just as long as he/ she tries to be a good person and help others. What do you mean by basically a Hindu??

Glad y'all didn't get married, then.
Christians actually have a passage in their Bible about not being "unequally yoked" to an "unbeliever." Her minister probably would not have performed your marriage.
As a Pagan, I'm okay with it, but I think couples in this situation need to really communicate and make sure they share core values. Also, they *really* need to figure out how they're going to educate their children.
I know a Jewish woman married to an atheist man. They both love college football, but different Florida teams. (Many Floridians take college football *very* seriously.) You wanna know what they did when the kids came along? They decided that they would raise the children in her religion and to support his team! :-)

Why are you with her then? I'm sorry, I'm all about free thinking (I myself don't follow any religion) but I dated people of many different faiths in the past, and it has never caused conflict. I'll be damned if someone who is supposed to love me is going to tell me that I'm going to hell. I'd probably say something smart back, like "Yeah, well I'll save you a seat."
Not all Christians are like that, dear, just the ones who think they are.
Sit down and talk with her, tell her how you feel, and if she continues to disrespect your beliefs, kick her to the curb, she doesn't deserve you.

Second Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? This says it all, Christian's should not marry non Christians.

With an open mind read some of the scriptures which I give below, then you will be able to understand why Christians are telling you.
God loves you, He created you. There is only one way to salvation, and it is accepting Christ as your LORD and Saviour. Thank your girlfriend for telling you the truth. Truth is always hard to accept like medicine. Only after taking it, it will make you free.
Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved."
Romans 10:9,10
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
God Loves you, brother.
Repent of your sins by accepting Jesus and submit to the lifestyle taught by Jesus. God Bless you
Edwin.

Simple - they're intolerant of other people beliefs. Sad but true. Unfortunately most of them are too stubborn to understand other people's point of view.
Sometimes you just have to agree to disagree.

If the love is strong enough, it can work but there will still be difficulties arising over holidays, children, family traditions, etc.
