I'm trying to drop a few pounds (nothing drastic or no carb crazy or anything). Me and my co-workers are meeting at a Chinese buffet for lunch. I worked out really hard this morning so I can eat more then a bowl of soup and be fine but any suggestions on what would be the best options for me!!

Oh I would love to go somewhere different, but that is simply not an option unless I want to be a complete unsocial weirdo. I'm definantly out voted on this one!

Look for steamed vegetables or maybe they have some salad items. Skip any desserts (they usually suck anyway at chinese restaurants). Stay away from anything with a rich thick sauce (Kung Pao, etc). Don't eat greasy spareribs. Don't fill up on rice.

Next time suggest a different style of buffet restaurant to your co-workers.

smoothie king!

think about it,

how do chinese buffets make money?

by putting the lowest quality food imaginable on it,
and letting you eat as much as you want.

Go for the veggies and stay away from the rice, noodles, and fried foods.
