He would have to take in no more than his body is using up in energy. Any more and he adds fat. Any less and he wastes away.

Number depends on existing weight, muscle mass, active/inactive lifestyle, and metabolism.

Impossible to say... depends on the person, their activity, current weight and lots of other factors.

Typically 1500-2500 calories per day appears about normal - but there again if you need 1500 and eat 2500 you will put weight on very quickly! ;(

Exactly as much as he expends. Your question doesn't provide enough information to be any more specific, like age, weight, weight, fat percentage, how much activity is done per day, what the average temperature is, how much sleep he gets, etc.
