I am currently a green card holder and my card will be expired by next year 10/2007. However, due to my job, I am currently working in Hong Kong (outside of U.S) for about 10 months now. So I have been away from the U.S for 10 months now. Can I stay longer and get my GreenCard renew in Hong Kong? or I cannot stay in Hong Kong for more than a year to have my GreenCard renew over here? Anyone with Knowledge about this situation? Thanks ahead.

you should at least be visiting the US if you have a green card... thats what many people do.... or you risk loosing it.... i know people who do not live in the US, but they travel back and furth so as to not loose their green card at least every 6 months.....
but in order to renew it you need to submit for I-90
http://www.uscis.gov/graphics/formsfee/forms/i-90.htm
you can also e-file the form
i think this would apply to having an address in the US

in regards to living outside the country for renewal:
"If you are outside the United States, and your permanent resident card will expire within six months, (but you will return within one year of your departure from the United States and before the card expires), you should file for your renewal card as soon as you return to the United States.

If you are outside of the United States at the time of the card’s expiration, and you have not applied for the renewal card prior to your departure, you should contact the nearest American Consulate, USCIS office, or Port of Entry, before attempting to file Form I-90 for a renewal I-551 card."

you should consider applying for a re-entry permit if u come back to the US, and have to leave for an extended period of time again

You cannot get a new card outside the US. And you have a much bigger problem than your card; will lose your residency itself if you stay outside the US for more than 365 days, unless you applied for a re-entry permit before you left:

Go to the nearest American Embassy or Consulate
for any information about your green card.
