It seems we learn to speak like birds learn to sing through social action and feedback.

Babies respond to what is called vocal learning and the syllables which is why talking to a baby in baby language does not really help all the coo coo and noise they will react on but proper conversation is better.

No one can really tell you how we actual learn but we do.

from learning at home. For example not being recist. If spanish families only speak spanish at home how do they learn english? at school. So my kids only speak spanish at home and english at school. By the way im american and my husband is mexican. you might wanna start learning before you get lost on society.

I don't quite get your question. English is not my mother tongue, and for me, I could hardly speak the word that I don't know, I am sorry I am so good-memorized.....

we don't. we act like we do. why you think George Bush screws up? cuz he doesnt know the words that he speaks and he gets everything wrong.

When we were young we listened to grown-ups talk and we copy them. Also, being in school didn`t hurt either.

from our parents, we also pick up the accent from them. If we were in a different country we would pick up that language ,common sense really.

We look up in the dictionary, and we laern from other poeple.
