Yeah, call this number: 1800-668-6868. It's instant gratification help. It's a help line. I've attempted suicide several times since I was 11. But you know what I think when I'm feeling really low, I think: if I had died when I was 11, I would have missed out on having my first love when I was 17, getting into university, dating, heartbreak, good stuff, bad stuff. What I do is make a list of all the things that have made my life worth living or have been fun or hurtful but from which I've grown. No matter how big or small, it goes on the list. It works if you want it to.

I felt like that for months after a relationship broke up, I felt like I wanted to die, I was so depressed. But I bottled it all up inside which only made things worse. The best thing you can do is speak to someone about it - whether that be your doctor, a friend, a family member or whoever. When I eventually spoke about how I was feeling to a friend it was like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders and I felt like I could actually breath again! People think that if you try and ignore these fellings then they will go away but that's not true. Speaking to someone you trust will help you so much! Things always get better, and we come out of hard times being much stronger people! You'll be okay!! I promise! And you're not alone! xx

See you doctor. If you wait till it gets to suicidal thoughts you will have a long climb back out of the pit of depression.

"The drugs don't work they only make it worse" was the case for me, but they work for some people and their are other treatments, talking therapies can be more useful to some people.

I spent months crying at the drop of a hat, as I'm a bloke and don't get PMT it was very embarrassing at work. I now can't work, I am sure if I got help sooner things wouldn't have got so bad.

Hi,

First of all your not alone so many people feel down, its so common and don't be worried about your thoughts its very easy to slip into a negative thought pattern. go to the doctor and tell them exactly how you feel , they will probably offer you anti depressants, you don't have to take them in-fact you may feel better just by sharing the way you feel.
You can also try st johns wort which is a herbal remedy, Studies show that this herb can alleviate symptoms of depression without turning you into a emotional zombie as some drugs the doctor will offer you can.
Exercise will also help, and don't forget to take time out for you and treat yourself.

Take care and good luck

if you are feeling scared of your emotions, have yourself a good cry and then if you dont feel better, call a counseling center. they can make you an apt or sometimes one will be there just to answer calls.

ive actually called a suicide hotline and they talked me through it. sometimes life is so hard that you dont feel like you can take anymore. ive been there.

sometimes things just build and build and it seems that no matter which way you turn, it only gets worse. hang in there because things will turn around.

my grandmother used to say that god never gives you more than you can handle. she was right. sometimes you dont think that you can handle anymore and then god just heaps more on your plate. its rough, but have your cry, take a few deep breaths, and then decide what you want to do next.

i seriously think that the people that work the suicide hotline are angels. they sure helped me.

I have been like that for the last week. I just have to live hour to hour, sometimes 15 mins and then the next 15 mins and so on.

I have had this before and yes I generally do see a light at the end of the tunnel sooner or later.

Hope you feel a bit better soon.

Pretty much every day....but you have to keep forging ahead!!!!

Life has been beating me up, and a lot of the people I interact with, both on a professional and personal level. You just do the best you can, and focus on the good you accomplished each day. Constantatly thinking about the economy, war(s), illness, global warming, will only keep you down.
