Has anyone told you, that if this gets any bigger, that retires like myself end up teaching at various MOS producing schools, or become the Drill Sgt Cadre! If you can teach, do paperwork, etc., you can always be recalled...but don't worry unless America gets attacked again.
My assignment if recalled is the John F. Kennedy Warfare Center, Fort Bragg, NC and I have been retired for 7 years.

dear Lopez,

When a person is disabled, they are personanongrata. This is to say they cant perform to standards or, they have a condition that could hurt themselves.
Before you are recalled your condition has to be resolved. On rare occasions you could be recalled if there is a critical need and your condition is minor.

A guy who frequents the immigration board is disabled and has been recalled, according to his posts last night. Maybe they are just going to give him a physical to see how bad it is and whether he can still serve. He did get his papers though.

You are receiving money from the military? I assume yes. In such case you could be recalled, however it is unlikely. If there were a service you could perform inspite your disability, I.E. training soldiers or something similar, then maybe so.

no they can not recall you. some times if the injury is not that bad they will look at you again then they could recall you if you are better. your bisablity will not get better. so now to the important stuff, have you registered your dd 214 with your county? if not get it done today. go to your county va office they have info that can help you in so many ways. you may also qualify for extra va money. good luck i hope your local va hosp is good, mine is pretty good i go to the Fresno Ca. va hosp.

No they will not call you back when you have something perminant. My x has seizures (because of injury while active duty) which is permanant they said they wont ever call him back (this was last year). So I don't think you have to worry about it.

When you say disabled veteran, that means you have already served and was discharged on a medical. So, no.

its highly doubtful you would be recalled. I suffered a knee injury after retiring and if the military tried calling me back, well it would say alot about recruiting!
