I usually give 4 or 5 dollars on a $16 haircut. But I think I might be giving too much..

10% - 20% tip is standard for a hairstylist, but you should never tip less than $2 (unless service was really awful and you're trying to make a point). Don't forget to tip whoever washed your hair if it wasn't the same person who cut it. If your stylist does something special for you, like stay late, give a scalp massage or sneak in a deep conditioning treatment for free, tip a little extra.

Do you look like a movie star of a dog? That's what I go by!

If it is $15 and it is good... I give $5. (Which would never happen in my case... Mine never cost's under $90. You're a lucky girl if you can pull that off!)

If it was $15 and it was bad, You get what everyone else gets out of courtesy. 15%

If I go in a shop and have the person who has that shop cut my hair why tip? They set the price. You don't go to sears and say I love that shirt heres 5.00 extra. They set the price thats what I pay. You are paying them to provide a service if they want more for that service then they should charge more. I work in a service field but we are mandated by law we can not take tips. So every one gets good service thats they way it should be.

You don't HAVE to but it's nice to tip. Good haircut=better tip. Not so good haircut=not as good tip. It all works out on how much tip. It's not illeagal or anything if you don't. Hope this information helps you! =D

If they do a good job, tip $4 or $5. They will remember you and always do their best for you in the future. This also works with pizza delivery. I overtip and always get my order much faster than the average delivery time.
