if you are talking about for residency or work permit... not long unless they have a problem with them or processing something else with them at the same time....
for my work-permit/residency, I did them the same day in order to get them over with..... I got notice within days that my work-permit would be mailed, so i guess i passed the check.... if they did not check me then.... withing a couple months or so i got notice of my residency appointment.... so either way it was not long

DEPENDS ON WHAT IT IS FOR IF IT IS FOR AN IMMIGRATION PROCESS IT CAN TAKE UP TO 60 DAYS. CALL YOUR LOCAL FBI HOTLINE THEY CAN SET YOU UP WITH A BETTER DATE ON THAT
