Islam says men can have 4 wives, but they don't have to. In fact, it isn't recommended, because it is hard to be equal to them all. This was only made possible for the flexibility of the society, and because there are some instances where this is necessary, where there are more women than men, or where women are left as widows with no way out.
You can't marry God. God is not a human to be marriageable like the rest of us. This is another reason why I disagree with Christianity (though I respect it like any other, and have many good friends who are Christians), because they believe that God has a son. They also believe in the Trinity.
However, I am not one to argue with them. I love many Christians and they are a good people in general. I promote and represent peace. Racially or religiously different, it doesn't matter!!! We are all people!!! If you believe that you have a duty to convert others to your point of view, how will you achieve that without loving others first? How will you achieve that by using force? Look at yourself and your faults first, before pointing the finger at others.

Mimi has given false information. Don't assume that because something happens in the Bible that it has God's official seal of approval. In fact, one way we know the Bible is true is that it reports everything honestly...we see our heroes, "warts and all" as someone else said. God never approved polygamy...

FYI-all religions allow multiple wives but the judicial system of Europe and America has altered this practice only in the past century or so. ;) I did some research on this. so the practice is allowed in all religions and many christians had as many as 11 wives at a time (hint-mormons didn't invent this). so yea don't get confused with the judicial crap vs. reality. laws change constantly to mold society rather than reality. insults aren't new either...people like to have the last word regardless of how rude it is.

I believe that other religions are insulted by people because of little knowledge of it and also other religions are man made doctrines copied and rewritten from the Holy Bible. Polygamy is wrong. Monogamy is the only way. We as believers are all married to God and Unbelievers are in adultery.

The Catholic church pracitice that foolishness about abstaining from marriage which is not Biblical. Actually the Bible warns us against religions that teach that.
The Catholic church is not the true Christian church it is the beast power of Revelation 13 and the little horn power of Daniel 8. The prophecies in Daniel 8 foretell that it would persecute the saints and it did in the dark ages.

Well, thats different. Nuns being married to god isn't a sin or bad, however, a man being married to 4 women is. That is a sin and much different than nuns being married to god. Its very confusing but you should go to church and ask them. They will tell you the exact answer..

Nuns are not Christians. Catholics are not of a Christian faith. They do not teach acceptance of Jesus as your savior in order to enter into the kingdom of heaven. Your post is incorrect.
You must be born again by accepting Jesus as your savior in order to enter into the kingdom of heaven. You must accept Jesus as your savior. God has never married anyone to Himself. That is another lie and the catholics own doctrine that is not from the scriptures. Priests can get married but their doctrine forbids them to do so. Again, that is the doctrine of the catholic church and not of the holy bible.

Not everyone on here insults the other religions. There are those who only give their beliefs. They may try to discredit a teaching/doctrine, but they dont do it in a way to criticize the person.

Ummmm....just so you know....God is not married to nuns or priests. They just want to live a life in communion w/ Him. Which they don't exactly have to do by becoming nuns or priests. Your thinking catholic, but you said Christian. Get it right.

don't catagorize christians into one catagory. there are some of us who have an open mind. but in all things, there will always be close minded people who only see their point of view as correct. it is up to us to show or have the patience to show those close minded backward people the beauty of different cultures and beliefs and how it helps the world.
