Try studying for a few hours before you switch on the tv or surf the internet then at least you know you have done some study. You need to remember watching tv and the internet probably wont get you far in this world but studying will!

Get away from the TV and the computer when you study. Make TV and internet time your reward for spending a certain amount of time studying every day. If your grades drop your parents may take them away from you anyway, so wouldn't it be better to have that all under control yourself so that doesn't happen. Sometimes it's just exercising self control. I have to leave the TV off while I clean house, otherwise as I'm dusting or vacuuming and I see something interesting I'll end up sitting down on the couch and wasting too much time that I should be spending being productive. I still leave it on sometimes and if I catch myself coming to a standstill when I should be moving I just make myself get up and go on again. It's either that or I'll get nothing done.

the best thing to do is to start studying your favourite subject or an easy chapter.once u complete studying something u like or u find easy then u will feel more motivated and satisfied with your efforts.and try and have specific times when u watch tv or browse the net and nothing else.and during ur study hours train ur mind to concentrate on the work at hand.keep on reminding urself that u are the sole maker of ur destiny and taking academics seriously is a big step in making ur life a success.

No need for silly yoga just think about what are you going to do in future,,,, Later on you might regret that you didn't spend more time on studying, becasuse you'll need a good job , and spending time on the net won't help you that much. If I could turn back time I would do a lot of things differently.

I would recommend having a specific place to study in. I work much harder in the office than I do at home. But if you have to study at home, do it in your bedroom. If you have a tv in your bedroom, take it out. Or disconnect it and put it in your closet. Music shouldn't be very distracting, the right kind of music will actually help but it differs from person to person.

why not combine the two somehow, put a live video camera on your book, close enough to read on the screen and study off of the tv instead of the book! and if you want to listen to some music put on jazz. as far as the internet goes. unplug your modem, take it to your car and put it in your trunk until you finish studying, it will be so much of a hassle to quit studying to go out to your car and set it up again.
