I can see the humour, and yes all humour is good.
I am handicapped, and I sail, skate lotsa stuff. I do not drive, but can be driven, and when I arrive I need assistance getting to the door, so the handicap parking is an assist to what is allways a complication that the majority oft times have no idea of how it affects another.

required by law, plus handicap people can still skate. they just can't work. I know this doesn't seem right but think of this, someone is handicap cause they have a heart condition, they can still do everything a normal person can do but no workscomp would ever cover them cause of their bad heart so they can't get a job. they are forced to live on what the state and government provides them with, that really sucks.

While at first thought it does sound silly (like why do the buttons on drive-thru ATMs have brail?), it is to accomodate people who aren't necessarily confined to a wheelchair. Lots of different ailments qualify people for handicapped parking. Besides, they may not be the ones doing the actuall skating they may be there just to watch someone else.

Because 1. It is required by the ADA law. 2. just because a person usese a handicap parking spot doesn't mean they are in a wheelchair or on Crutches

What makes you think that handicapped people cannot skate?
Go to the link and learn...just because someone has a physical (or mental) disability doesn't mean that they should be excluded from the same things you and I do.

because sometimes instead of a person skating a person with a wheel chair likes to roll around the rink. i went with a camp for kids with disabilites and the people allowed wheelchairs and wagons to be on the rink. and u never said if it was ice skatingor roller skating. so i'm guessing u meant roller skating;)

Maybe there are hanicapped employees. Or maybe handicapped parents bring their children who are able to skate. Or maybe it was done just so one would ask a question about it on yahoo answers.

Handicapped employees, and also it gives the business tax breaks to have such spaces.

Duh...because a person in a wheelchair might want to attend an event there. My brother is in a wheelchair & when you have someone close to you who is disabled it makes you think! Try it!
