i was fiddling with my pc and think i may have accidently deleted something i shouldnt in the registry. alot of my programs e.g Itunes etc etc. The little screen that comes up says " COMres.dll cannot be founf" please help me sort this out - its driving me mental!! many thanks xxxx

ive tried system restore but that doesnt work either - if someone could just tell me what i have done i would be grateful as it is a mystery to me!!!

If you got a windows XP CD put it in the drive and run the windows recovery console.. This might sort out the problem. If you don't have windows CD go to Microsoft support, you might find something that helps on there.

Roll the PC back using system restore, it should do the job.

if you just deleted it, look in the recycle bin, if it is still there, just restore it. You can try downloading it, and putting it where it is supposed to be, and hope windows registers it, or you can try doing a full chkdsk, it usualyy replaces corrupt and missing system files

Do a system restore to an earlier date.You will find this might cure it and put everything back to how it was.

Sounds like ya goofed big time!!!!I would sugeust a reformat,if ya have the knowledge or disks'.Sometimes deleating reg. files happens when your first learning or just there after.alot of the times a reformat isn't ness. however more tech info. is ness. to fully E vall your prob.

Go into search in the menu and type it in exactly then you will at least be able to see if its still in the PC and follow links, if you need anymore help please contact me.

Comres.dll should be in folder
C:\Windows\System32
Copy the driver from another machine and place into your machine and restart.
