Correct me if I'm wrong, but I knew Saudi Arabia wouldn't allow tourists in the country. And only followers of their religion can visit and go to "their high place" during prayer seasons. Will anyone tell me why is this so? And why do they kill and imprison people(foreign workers) if caught possessing other praying materials than their book?

I was asking about "tourists" who are not allowed to enter. Though I'm aware that foreign workers are welcomed ->to work.
And btw, male friend of my friend's housemate was imprisoned for months because he was seen holding a catholic magazine. He was raped by other male prisonmates but he didn't sue because in return, he was set free and now he's back home in his country. Well, just fyi. And just because it is a so-called holy land, doesn't give the officials the right to treat non-followers like that..

I lived in Saudi Arabia for three years as a worker. Everything you said was true except they will not kill you for possessing a non-muslim religious book. They will likely imprision you and deport you but that is all. The muslim religion is about 600 years newer than the Christian one. 600 years ago the Christians were burning witches and non-believers by the hundreds of thousands. Today western countries have learned to separate church from state as a result. Many Muslim countries have not yet learned this lesson.

I do worked Saudi Arabia 11 years additionally appropriate with foodstuff chain. If there is regulation in the international that's interior the dominion of Saudi Arabia, nevertheless not one of the rustic is suited interior the international the two the international locations have distinctive physique of ideas. UAE beef and wine are brazenly bought on food market like Spinech, please replace your sister for this reason.

I do not think you have the correct information. I would call the Embassy and find out what it entails to getting a tourist visa. I do know they will not allow people with criminal histories into their country.

just the same reason why people of other faith were not allowed into bethlehem and jerusalem.
the same reason why catholics do not allow people of other and sometimes even same faith enter their church.

have u ever questioned them?
the answer is clear, wonder why u have such doubts.

btw, i have many , hindu, christian and jew freinds comfortably living there without any problems. they are cool and go to mases and pray at home, have their Holy books and some evn read it everyday. and none has had a problem with their neighbors.

i am sorry about what happened to ur freind's hubby. but u are also forgetting that even today soliders from one faith (u know whom i am speaking of), are treating all the POWs from all over the world, much more worse than that. i think u forgot the photos that were released by the press about POWs.

see its tit for tat. but do u know who the MAIN CULPRIT is- POLITICS (i'm not shouting i want it to be highlighted). we all deep down know that its all politics. its like u do it with me and i do it with u. and who suffers laymen like us. we are one who are losing everything at the expense of politics.

EDIT:
why dont u ask the same question to Israel who says its the Holy land and they are claiming for it by killing civilians. ?
do u know they are capturing civilians from past 34years. first palestine, then gaza and now lebanon.
do u know the names of those 150 women all old, pregnant and young who are held in the dungeons of israel. they were all captured in a single night?
do u remember the names of the entire family which was killed by israeli artilleries at once on shorelines of Gaza?
can u give me the names of all those people whom israel has been captivating for past 34 years?

u better go to India or Africa and ask those people what people have done. do u know how they used to treat Indians. they used to say - a indian man's back is a backboard for them to step into their vehicles. they used to place a big banner in indian theathers saying - Indians and dogs not allowed- that was the catalyst for INDIAN WAR OF INDEPENDENCE. have u been paying attention to history classes.

may be u forgot why Nelson Mandela started APARTHEID and may be u even forgot why WHITE MAN'S BURDEN started.

see sister, everything should be fair. if u say we are wrong, then we accept whole heartedly , but no people of other faith have done this, no one has taken responisibility for such actions.
