Why do you agree? What scripture does this follow?

And how does play into, "Onward Christian soldier....?"

The reason I ask is because, I take Ephesians 6:11 very seriously. I don the armor of God and rebuke the Enemy on a regular basis.

I was worried when I read this sign that people would read it and think it meant they didn't have to don the armour or rebuke our Enemy because Jesus was taking care of everything for them.

No, we have a fight to fight. "For we wrestle(fight) not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness is high places." If you want to have a chance to win then put on the whole armor of God.

Absolutely. Although the Bible describes Born Again believers as "soldiers," no battle is fought for a soldier -- it's always fought in the name of a leader, in this case Jesus Christ. See Philippians 2:25, 2 Timothy 2:3-4 and Philemon 1:2. Read Ephesians 6:10-20 to understand what our "armor" is. Ephesians 6:12 clarifies the nature of our battle.

Peace.

I always felt the story of the Good Samaritan was essentially Jesus talking about his own predicament and how the official Church would pass him by and he’d be relying on strangers and people of other faiths to comprehend his message.
If Christianity is not a story of engagement it is nothing, because love is a practice not a philosophy - like yoga as compared to pure meditation.
Like yoga too love has stances. Reaching out the hand of friendship is the supreme Christian pose; being there to lend a helping hand; talking with charity and being kind and gentle – these are all Christian postures.
They are loves battle stances in a world which seeks to hollow out love. We will not be petrified by the foes of love.
I say better to die composed in love than to live decomposing in materialism, greed, corruption and disrespect.
Onward to the battle front and if Christ gets in the way he too will be put to one side

2 Cor 10:4 for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.
2 Cor 10:5 We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,

If it's the Lord's how come the words we and our are used?

Eph 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Who's struggle?

I don't agree with the statement.
Otherwise the verses would not be there.

Yes I do. When in doubt, go to the Bible:

Exodus 14:13 - 14 Moses answered the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still."

Exodus 23:27 I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run.

2 Chronicles 20:29 The fear of God came upon all the kingdoms of the countries when they heard how the LORD had fought against the enemies of Israel.

2 Kings 6:16 "Don't be afraid," the prophet answered. "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them."

2 Kings 6:17 And Elisha prayed, "O LORD, open his eyes so he may see." Then the LORD opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

Matthew 12:20 A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till he leads justice to victory.

2 Chronicles 16:9 For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. You have done a foolish thing, and from now on you will be at war.

Psalms 34:7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.

Psalms 125:2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and forevermore.

Deuteronomy 28:7 The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

Deuteronomy 11:25 No man will be able to stand against you. The LORD your God, as he promised you, will put the terror and fear of you on the whole land, wherever you go.

Commentary: For those who are godly....
God goes out in front and protects against THE WHOLE LAND
Example......

Genesis 35:5 Then they set out, and the terror of God fell upon the towns all around them so that no one pursued them.

Commentary: These are entire towns God shuts down to provide victory for those who follow him.

John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.

Joshua 1:5 No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Joshua 21:44 The LORD gave them rest on every side, just as he had sworn to their forefathers. Not one of their enemies withstood them; the LORD handed all their enemies over to them.

Joshua 23:9 The LORD has driven out before you great and powerful nations; to this day no one has been able to withstand you.

Deuteronomy 7:24 He will give their kings into your hand, and you will wipe out their names from under heaven. No one will be able to stand up against you; you will destroy them.

Psalms 91:4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

Commentary: Here lies the ENTIRE key to this:

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.

I don't agree with that, the Battle is daily for all humans, we fight it so we can be with God in the end

Of course not. We grow through our "battles", we learn through our "challenges", we become wiser because of our "obstacles". We're not babies with a heavenly daddy who rocks us to sleep at night. We are all pieces of the eternal source of being, whether you call it "God" or the Cosmos or whatever -- and it's time we grow up and recognize that wondrous honor and the potential it gives us.

Doesn't make sense. The Lord is all powerful right? How can anything all powerful have a battle of anykind?

Yes

So then it is up to God to end hatred, violence, and evil, yet he completely refutes that by upholding the "free will" thing?

It doesn't exactly make sense.
