What's the benefit of making your bed every morning?

It keeps the dust that floats around during the day off of the sheets. This causes less dust mites so your sheets stay a little cleaner for a little longer. I think even more importantly is to wash your bedsheets in HOT water every 1-2 weeks for sanitary reasons. Or you could just go the route that it "looks purdy!"

Aside from looking tidy, the main reason I can think of to do it is to keep the bugs out. I live in the country and we have scorpions and black widows that could potentially make their way into our bed. Also, that very reason is why we check our shoes each time before we put them on.

someone in Arizona told me, they
found a snake in their bed after returning from their trip; they did not make the bed and the snake crawl right in; they were lucky the cat gave them a warning with a hissing sound.
when you make a bed, there is no way a bug,a night crawler, or snake get in your bed.
so~~ go~~ on~~ MAKE THAT BED!!!!!!!

My boyfriend asks me the same thing. My answer- It looks cleaner and the sheets & blankets are untangled for when you get back in bed that night.

i actually read that there is a better benefit to NOT maikng your bed. Something to do with allergies or something.

gd qn..i neva see the need to make my bed..but my mum makes a big deal abt it...
hmmm, my guess, maybe it prevents the bed frm getting a bad smell?

Discipline. Being able to pick up after yourself without your mommy pushing at your back.

still haven't figured that one out. my aunt is the exact opposite. my uncle often jokes that he's suprised she doesn't make it everytime she goes to the bathroom at night!!
