I hear you have to be filthy rich to be a part of it and that they rule your life.... What sick person would want to be a part of that...

Garbage is a harsh word. Total nonsensical unbelievable bullshit is more polically correct.

You lose touch with reality when you make 50 million a year.

If you pay enough money you can fly and walk through walls. I tried them both and they were painful experiences.

Obviously Paramount Studios agree with you.

Heehee. No its not like any of that. :)
According to the anti-scientology sites most people take the first few (cheap) courses and then leave. I took a couple back when I was minimum wage. I think it did me a ton of good.

Most of what you are hearing is based on the topmost levels. Which is expensive and involves some extreme beleifs. But even then its not as bad as trying to get to the top of any other church. In most of those you have to give up ALL of your money and possessions, and believ in things just as extreme (if not more so)

(by the way, most of its methods are not specifically scientolgy. The silent birthing thing is supported many places altho I think water birthing does it much better)

Whatever. Just don't worry about it. It isn't going to affect you and any way or shape anytime soon. Leave people to believe their own stuff.

Looking from a different perspective, I'd like to put this out for everyone. What exactly makes this stupid and wrong? Why isn't our faiths? Is it because there is a lot more people believing in our same faith, or is it because ours is older? What gives some faiths credibility while others are left out in the dust?

More directly...
What if Scientology keeps getting more and more followers and keeps on for a thousand more years. Will it become like how Chrisitianity and Islam is like right now?

Then...
Do societies create faiths?

Scientology is a religion created by L. Ron Hubbard. Sometimes in big cities there will be people on the street with a table and books trying to convert you to Scientology. I think you have to buy a lot of books, and I think they are against certain medicines... and when you have a kid it has to be almost completely quiet in the room. I dont know a whole lot about it simply because I think Hubbard created this religion on a bet. I like to think for myself and not be a clone. I guess if some people like it, then good for them... just REALLY not for me.

Scientology is a cult. They want you to take their "audits" but it's funny that it costs more and more and more to get to the higher "thetan" levels. You're ultimately trying to reach "clear" but by the time you get there, you could have almost purchased a small country. Even Tom Cruise is only an Operating Thetan level 7. (Even with all his money he hasn't reached "clear").

The following link is a little joke you might get a laugh out of....

I have tried real hard to understand what it about. I just dont get it. I personally think it is a cult type religion that requires isolation and large donations of money. Here is a website written to try and explain the religion. I have read it many times over and dont get it...Have Fun!!!

Scientology is exactly that...a bunch of nonsense. It is another attempt by men to explain things that have been explained better in the bible. I'm sorry to be so blunt....but it's annoying to see so many people led astray by silly beliefs that have only a dead end.

I don't like to judge other peoples belief but Scientology makes absolutely no sense whatsoever to me. Maybe someone that knows can share about it.

Yes, and yes

Wikipedia.com is not the definitive answer as it is a "users" defined source...users are allowed to use their bias to edit definitions found there.

Asnwering that "celebrities" (generally shallow, selfish individuals) like it doesn't mean that it's a valid "religion" either.

It is the big garb.

You have to have a lot of money and they brain wash you.

People who joint this cult are lost to begin with.
I have seen these people personally.
