Jesus made the statement, as recorded in the book of John, chapter 14, verse 6 (in the bible)..."I am the way, the truth and the life, no man comes to the Father, but by me". So, no....there are not many ways to God.

Religions aren't what God accepts. People are. One religion won't go to heaven. Only those who have accepted Christ as their Saviour.
I think it'd be really neat if someone would create a religion that has only true Christians in it, but I reckon that'll have to wait 'till Judgement Day.

Fireball, could you please quote some bible verses that say salvation is ONLY for Christians? I don't ever recall reading that in the Bible. According to the Bible, Christians should teach that salvation in "Christ" is a guarantee of salvation, but not guaranteed eternal torment for non-believers. Jesus may have said "The only way to the Father is thru me", but that does not mean "heaven". Rather, that is simply prayer. Is prayer needed for salvation? If you say yes, then I ask you to supply the scriptural verses. What Christianity teaches today is very elaborate twists of scriptures found in the Bible. The entire idea of the 'ransom sacrifice' and 'atonement' was completely foreign to the Jewish religion in Jesus time. Paul conjored up his own ideas by saying deeds mean nothing, then God must have changed. As if the nation of Israel wasn't dependant on their deeds for blessings or for punishment.
Job wasn't a Christian, he wasn't even a "Jew". Do you think Job was kosher, following the entire law of the Jews? Hardly. Job loved God and trusted in him, which in turn was his salvation.

God is all knowing. (I know I won't get an argument for that - except from the atheists)
If we believe that the above statement is true. Isn't it just possible that God, Allah, The God/Goddess etc.... realizes that all people are not going to be able to believe in the same exact thing? That the fact that people have a belief in a higher being without having proof, is good enough.
Because, I'm noticing that the majority of all religions have similar beliefs. God, be good to one another, don't harm one another.........
Just my opinion in an opinionated world.

Is atheism a religion?
I guess that god would accept all religions since he created them. I also believe that it is this diversity that makes our human culture so rich. If only we could live peacefully among each other, I am sure god will rally round when it comes to judging.

Which God. There are gods and there is God. If you have gods it doesn't matter. They don't care. Have as many as you want. God does care. If you want to know what is acceptable to God , read about Him in the Bible. Ask questions if you don't understand. Once I surrendered my life to God I began to experience His Spirit leading me into all truth. The Bible can not be understood without God's Spirit. It is just words and in fact boring. When it is revealed to you it comes alive. God does "not cast His pearls before swine." He gives understanding to those who choose to be close to Him.

All through the Bible God has a people that follow Him and keep his commandments. So will it be down near the end when He will return - Revelation 14. God had the patriachs of old, which became a nation (Israel) and then became the Jews and then they rejected Jesus and they mocked His Jewish followers and called them Christians because they followed Christ. But now there are alot of counterfeit christianity and there is only one true christian church and that one follows the teachings of God's word the BIble. Search for it and you will find it.
