Who Are They?
IT IS the desire of Jehovah’s Witnesses that you become better acquainted with them. You may have met them as neighbors and fellow employees or in other daily affairs of life. You may have seen them on the street, offering their magazines to passersby. Or you may have spoken briefly with them at your door.
Actually, Jehovah’s Witnesses are interested in you and your welfare. They want to be your friends and to tell you more about themselves, their beliefs, their organization, and how they feel about people and the world in which all of us live. To accomplish this, they have prepared this brochure for you.
In most ways Jehovah’s Witnesses are like everyone else. They have normal problems—economic, physical, emotional. They make mistakes at times, for they are not perfect, inspired, or infallible. But they try to learn from their experiences and diligently study the Bible to make needed corrections.

tell me the text that says we souldn't go door to door. and we'll all stop knocking. by the way, when people let us know they don't want us to knock on their door, we stop.
And the apostle Paul was put under pressure as we are to stop preaching but, he said: "For the Scripture says: “None that rests his faith on him will be disappointed. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for there is the same Lord over all, who is rich to all those calling upon him. For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.”  However, how will they call on him in whom they have not put faith? How, in turn, will they put faith in him of whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach?  How, in turn, will they preach unless they have been sent forth? Just as it is written: “How comely are the feet of those who declare good news of good things!”

We are normal people, with normal lives just like others, but we are students of the God's word the Bible. We learn truths that other religions do not tell their congregations in order to keep them on the pews each week. WE learn God's holy name,"Jehovah" which is found in the Bible (Psalm 83:18)(Exodus 20:7)(Joel 2:32)(Acts 2:21)We learn about his pupose us and promises that he made to us from the beginning to the end of this wicked system of things(Daniel 2:44)(Rev.16:14,16,18:1-8). We also learn to follow his commandments, immitate his qualities, and give him the respect, honor, and fear that he deserves as being the One and only True God. We do not try to follow the ways of the world because we are told not to be part of this world, since it's ruler is a rebellious angel whose name is Satan the Devil(John 12:31)(1 John 5:19).
We learned that he was thrown out of Heaven and is among us here on Earth, and he knows that he has a short time here until he will be thrown with his demons into an abyss for 1000 years. If you read and believe in God's word, the Bible, you would know this also. We do not attach ourselves to other religions because they are not doing Jehovah's will. They have been misled by Satan the Devil and they will be destroyed also, as we know that God's 1st born Son"Jesus", also known as "Michael", the "Archangel" will return with his army to set things straight, resurrect all those in memmorial tombs, bring an end to all false religions, and governments, and restore the Earth to a paradise condition(Isaiah 9:6,7)(Daniel 7:13,14) (Matthew 6:10).

My mum grew up as a Jehova's Witness and through the education she's been through about the faith (or cult, as she now sees it) has really made me turn my back on the religion.

I don't agree with a lot of the ideals, morals and ways which JW's run their religious beliefs. I also feel as though a lot of their religion is fuelled by fear- which I think is just plain wrong.

Good luck to you if being a JW makes you happy- but it's the last religion in the world that I would ever get caught up in.

What JW's want is for every one to join their cult. Speaking of "Do you know" questions... Do you know that JW's don't "hang out" with non-JW's... until you switch to their cult. Do you also know that this cult forced my wifes parents to disown her because she no longer believed in the religion?

What religion would EVER tell you to disown a relative, especially a child, because of not believeing the same things? Sounds a lot like what Hitler was trying to do in the 40's! What kind of freak would be reading a book over 2,000 years old and take it's writing literally? Written in a time when scientific knowledge of the universe was non-existant.

JW's are religious FREAKS... don't bother emailing me... I will NOT play along!!!

I agree JW's are very nice people.
But they have been fooled.
If you don't believe in the Holy Trinity, then you don't believe the Bible. I hate to keep on bringing this up, but Jesus and the devil are not brothers.
Jesu Christ died on the cross to save man from their sin. Not Joseph Smith.

Ex-JW, current apostate here, I'm disappointed you are not out in real field service, you could get demons in your home just from hanging out here, especially with people like me around.

I think I'll say a prayer to Satan for you

Maybe they should read the verse that says dont go door to door. Just be in the book and let people choose!

Thank you for your concern. I respect your beliefs, but I must respectfully decline any interest in your religion.

Forever.
