Faith, whatever your faith may be, is something you cannot see. It's all about trust and can't be proof scientifically or logically.

I found a good definition and I agree with it:
Faith is belief, trust or confidence often based on a transpersonal relationship with God, a higher power, elements of nature and/or a perception of the human race as a whole. Faith can be placed in a person, inanimate object, state of affairs, proposition or body of propositions such as a religious credo. In each case, faith transcends what can be proven scientifically and sometimes exceeds what can be objectively defined. Faith can mean believing unconditionally. It can be acceptance of something that one has been told by one who is considered trustworthy. Faith, by its very nature, requires belief outside of known fact. Faith is formed through instinct, intuition, meditation, communing with nature, prayer, or perceived usefulness of a belief system.
I hope it helps...

I can't get anymore basic than the word of God that says.....Faith is the evidence of things hoped for and the proof of things not seen.

Sure. I believe anyone can have faith in anything. The real issue is...the object of one's faith. You can have faith in something that isn't real and won't save you. I believe in one way to God only, and that is by Jesus Christ as savior.

I believe that faith is trust. I have faith in my friends and trust in myself to make the right choices in life.

Faith is truly imaginary. It is glorious. By faith I can believe in things that don't exist, and that is a tremendous asset!

Faith! It is imaginary, and it is fun. Moreover, it allows one to have an imaginary god as well as imaginary angels, and many other things that nonfaith does not allow.

I'm a Buddhist...........this is why i believe?

Buddhist believe in Karma & Reincarnation (Cause & Effect)
Our next life is determined from the things we do in this life (Good, Bad)
We try to find the ultimate freedom by purifying our mind from any bad thoughts....and by gaining ultimate wisdom...and achieve Nirvana
We achieve this by Meditation
Our religion never shed blood in the name of religion
We believe every living things has the same right to live and our religion is opposed to killing of any living being (Animals, insects)
We don’t believe that god can bring us happiness or ultimate wisdom...........it’s our mind which can achieve anything....so we don’t worship GOD
We believe there is heavens and many other worlds in the universe
they don’t have any power on us they are worlds like us but only higher than us
When we die we go there according to our Karma. Nirvana is a state of mind, Its not heaven, we believe its better than heaven. Its ultimate bliss of mind

The next life is decided by the energy (Karma)....created by our mind. Nobody judges It, if we have good karma...good worlds….. bad karma...we go to bad worlds...its like water flowing down....its the way of the universe

Faith means believing something with absolutely no way of ever convincing anyone of it, and without it appealing to your sense of reason.
