My husbad just had a vasectomy about a month ago, and his moods has really changed, The Dr. says this is normal, but, my question is How long wil this last?

I had one a couple of years ago and while there was some slight physical discomfort for a couple of weeks, I don't remember mood swings. Of course, all guys are different. Why don't you ask the doctor who previously advised him for an opinion on how long this side effect might last?

His mood change is purely psychological since the operation itself has no effect on one's psyche. He may have some thoughts about being somehow less of a "man" which may be the source of his moodiness. When I had mine, my mood improved (psychologically) because there was no more need for birth control!

My husband just had one like 2 weeks ago and he seems normal as ever in both spirits and performance. Do you think it's in his head? If you think it is, maybe you can try some extra nice things to pamper him, because if he seems upset he may blame you for it without telling you because after all, they do do it for us. At least my husband did so that I don't have to carry the burdon of birth control and stuff.

Yes, I have. But, next day I went to work, and my testicles got infected. And very big (swollen), Had to stay home 3 weeks. It was summer time. And I was lifting heavy items. My doctor said, that I could go back to work next day.

I never had any mood swings. Had sore nuts for a while but it wasn't that bad.
