What is your evidence the Qur'an is the word of God?

2006-08-24 02:34:06 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 0 1

only the most closed minded would say that the quran is not the Word of God. it is as true as the torah and the new king james version bible.

i believe that the radical islamists have perverted the words of mohammed and therefore God to suit their evil purposes.

remember, Christ and God both said that evil would come disguised in a pleasing form. does this mean a really good looking guy or girl will be the visible, or is the pleasing form, the supposed Word of God?

either way, even my religion (christianity) has been perverted by evil men, to do their own bidding. take the inquistion, the 100 years war, etc.

the quran teaches that we should accept Allah. the torah says to accept God. the bible says to accept Christ and God. all three teach peace, teach how to love and to live and even to defend yourself and to destroy the enemies of God or Allah, depending on which book you follow.

it is the method which we use that perverts the Word of God, not the book or the author as the author is divinely inspired.

Because God is a loving God. Not a God of war! Yes...in fact he destroyed masses when they became sinful nations. HE did this! He is perfectly capable of doing it all on his own without the help of some sadistic self proclaimed prophet. Islam lives under the unfortunate lie that they are predestined to do this for him. The Lord God is a loving God! A loving God! A loving God!!!!!!!!!! The underlying truth is that Islam concentrates on the human condition of "power" and hides behind God's face. They reject the savior that came and died for them and already won the victory in hell refusing to accept him who CAME OUT OF LOVE BECAUSE AGAIN...GOD IS A LOVING GOD!!!!!!! They percieve evil in folks that HAVE accepted Jesus! They have no respect for the human life that God gives and continue to try and massacre on a broad scale. The Lord describes these people and lost nations in detail! The Kuran can in no way compete with the wisdom, love, and truth that the bible is based upon. Neither can Mohammad compare to Jesus nor Buddha, nor any other self proclaimed prophetised religion.
This does not mean that we as Christians misbehave and treat Muslims, Islam, Buddhist, etc... with hatred and malice, but with love respecting even the life that the Lord gave to them.

I want to add another thought to ponder. The Lord gave us free will. Using force to convert people to Islam is against the grain of God in every sense. See what I mean about the human condition of "power?"

The question, like all religious questions, is not subject to proof.
Religion is belief, and belief can, by definition, only exist where objectively provable knowledge does not. There is no way to put the existence or intentions of God to an objective, conclusive test. Bible, Torah, Quran, Veda, etc. cannot be proven or disproven.

There is no proof. Just the same as the Bible. I truly believe that these great documents were meant to help people learn the valuable lessons of life, told by ex-living, having already learned the lessons. Anything that results in Love, not hate; Respect, not dis-respect; toleration, not angry fear - such as the Bible and Quran are good for the world, and they were not meant to be in competition!

If the quotes from the Qu'ran in the previous question you asked are accurate (as in, are as they appear in the qu'ran), then I don't believe for a second that God would be so intolerant or hateful. I believe that God is an entity of love and compassion. But that's just me. That doesn't mean that Islam doesn't contain any positive or helpful advice or ethical practices.(Which is why, as mentioned in a previous answer to one of your questions I said I wouldn't mind learning about Islam simply for the sake of learning.)

Blessings and Light!

Because it is not the truth, the Bible is God's Word and is the 100% truth. The truth is God sent His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for the world to pay the penalty for our sins. Jesus Christ is the only Son of God and through Him we have eternal life and a personal relationship with God the Father.

Because Jesus (God, the Son) was the final authority, as He claimed. Revelation 21:13 "I am the Alpha & the Omega, the Beginning & the End, the First & the Last."

Also, John tells us in Revelation 21:18-19 "If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book (Revelation): and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life, & out of the Holy city, & from the things which are written in this book."

Finally, "He which testifieth to these things saith, 'Surely, I come quickly.'" Revelation 22:20

These were John's revelations about Heaven & the end of times here on earth, as shown him by God.

So, you see God's point of view when it comes to reconfiguring His Word.

I know the Quran is not the Word of God because I have the Word of God in the Holy Bible.

Either you BELIEVE that the quran is the word of god or you don't care. There can be no proof.

When nearly 3000 innocent people are killed in the name of Allah, and when bombs are strapped to children who are then sent as martyrs to public locations to die for Islam, and when muslims try to exterminate cultures they deem unfit, I'd say that the quran isn't the holy book we should be following.
