The really good beers are not served ice cold, but rather at cellar temperature (about 50-55 degrees). Serving a beer ice cold numbs the tongue so you can't taste just how bad it is.

for me .. the first sip of ice cold DIET COKE .. i do not like beer

my husband loves beer and there used to be cases in my fridge all the time .. the slob would have opened ones sitting in there also YUCK :P

i do like margaritas and this pink drink my brother makes for me ice cold :P
